# TryBadgey

> TryBadgey shows a maker's launch directory badges ("Featured on" badges) on their website and lets them manage every badge from one dashboard. The site owner adds TryBadgey's code once; after that, badges added, removed or reordered in the dashboard appear on the site within about 2 minutes, as real links that directories' badge-verification checks and search engines can read.

## Who it is for
- Makers, indie hackers and startups who list their product on launch directories (Product Hunt alternatives, startup directories, tool lists) and show those directories' badges on their website.

## The problem it solves
- Every directory gives a different badge snippet that has to be pasted into the site's code, redeployed, resized and checked by hand.
- Badges break quietly when a directory changes its image or shuts down.
- Many directories ask the maker to verify that their badge link is on the site before approving a listing.

## How it works
1. Pick the directories you are listed on (or add your own badge code for any directory).
2. Add the TryBadgey code to your site once. Ready-made code exists for WordPress, PHP (Laravel, CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Yii, Slim, Joomla), Next.js, Nuxt, Astro, Node.js (Express), Python (Django, Flask) and Ruby on Rails.
3. Manage badges in the dashboard. The site keeps a copy for 2 minutes, so pages stay fast and keep their badges even if TryBadgey is briefly unreachable.

## Key facts
- Badge links are output exactly as each directory provides them (same URL and rel attributes); TryBadgey never wraps or redirects them.
- Badges are real HTML links in the page, so directory verification checks and Google can see them.
- Weekly health checks flag broken badge images and links.
- Large badge images are served as lighter copies for visitors.
- Not supported yet: site builders such as Webflow, Wix, Shopify and Framer, and browser-only React, Vue or Angular apps.

- Pro: $6 per month or $49 per year; up to 30 sites, unlimited badges, custom "Featured on" text, option to hide the "Badge wall by TryBadgey" credit, click stats per badge.
